Sheri L. Pecarsky, Esq., a solo practitioner and estate specialist with over twenty years experience has dedicated herself to protecting the livelihood of her many clients. Over the years she has worked diligently at establishing and maintaining positive relationships with her many clients. Ms. Pecarsky handles a wide variety of estate matters; priding herself in her ability to handle any of her client’s requests, from the early planning stage on through completion of the estate plan while addressing any litigation issues that may arise. Sheri’s services include addressing complex estate administration, probate and estate litigation matters, estate and trust planning, guardianships, inheritance and fiduciary taxation and litigation.
Her cases have resulted in the successful resolution of many estate disputes involving family members, including a recent dispute involving a sizable art collection. Ms. Pecarsky has fought for the elderly against third parties who have been involved in taking advantage of the unsuspecting individuals, as well as many guardianship litigation situations.
Ms. Pecarsky attended Muhlenberg College from 1989 to 1993, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with triple majors in Political Science, History and Spanish. Upon finishing her undergraduate curriculum she enrolled in the Temple University Beasley School of Law, where she graduated with honors, receiving her J.D. in 1996.
Upon recieving her diploma Ms. Pecarsky joined the Litigation Department of the Philadelphia Firm of Mesirov Gelman. For the five years she practiced there, Ms. Pecarsky handled many cases in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, often with the same clients, and participated as first-chair or second-chair in both jury and bench trials, as well as mediations and arbitrations.
From Mesirov Gelman, Ms. Pecarsky moved on to Cozen and O’Connor in 2001, where she was a member of both the Subrogation and Aviation Litigation Departments, eventually becoming a Junior Partner in 2003.
It was in September 2006, after taking a brief leave to raise her two young daughters, that Ms. Pecarsky began honing her estate planning and administration skills, skills which she has added to with the handling and management of a large number of estate administration and estate litigation matters, with a firm she opened in September 2015.
From 2014 to the present, Ms. Pecarsky has also served on the Board of the Jewish Community Relations Council, of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey. From 2012 to 2015, Ms. Pecarsky has also served on the Board of the Klein Jewish Community Center (JCC), the very same organization where she spent many summers as a child of Northeast Philadelphia.
Today Ms. Pecarsky makes it her personal goal to understand what each client’s individual needs are and to then perform the services necessary to fulfill those needs, from the initial planning stages to all of the administration processes. She has worked with many fiduciaries including executors and trustees, helping them carry out the duties and responsibilities that they have been entrusted with. Ms. Pecarsky has also worked closely with the clients' financial advisors and accountants, ensuring that every party is on the same page and that each client’s matters run smoothly and efficiently. Sheri always prioritizes her relationships with each client, the client’s family, and the client’s financial “team”.
